Some weddings just tug at your heartstrings and you can really feel the love from start to finish. When Caitlin and Bob decided to get married and “officially” blend their families together, they had an amazing wedding day at El Dorado Royale Generations, that was so touching, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house! With the soft Caribbean breeze, stunning ocean views, and so much genuine love, their day was the perfect blend of authentic romance, family fun, and unforgettable memories.
Nestled along the Riviera Maya coastline, El Dorado Royale Generations is a dreamy spot for couples who want a luxurious, yet relaxed destination wedding. From the gorgeous beachfront to the lush tropical gardens, every corner of this resort is designed for romance. Caitlin and Bob knew right away this was the place they’d say “I do” surrounded by their closest family and friends.
It all started with a grand, splish-splashing pool party, where everyone got into the act, laughing and drenching each other with giant cannonballs. The kids were in their glory. The adults were too! Sipping on their favorite cocktails, which fueled hilarious narratives, they regaled each other with tales of daring deeds and legendary war stories.
The morning buzzed with excitement—Caitlin getting ready with her excited daughter and bridesmaids, sharing laughs, happy tears, and a few beverages, while Bob and his groomsmen toasted the big day ahead and got ready with his sons.
The ceremony was set right by the ocean, waves rolling in behind them and a soft breeze billowing the curtains of a shady pagoda adorned with tropical flowers. The kids charmed everyone completely as they strolled hand in hand down the aisle. When his little boy got to the front, Bob reached out to scoop him into his arms. When Bob saw Caitlin walking in next on her Dad’s arm, his whole demeanor radiated pure joy—she was his everything.
Their vows were heartfelt, sweet, and sprinkled with laughter—just like them. The sand ceremony included the 2 older kids, whose white and blue sand contributions added to the inseparable combination of colors in the sand vase. Surrounded by the support of their loved ones and the sound of the sea, they promised forever and sealed it with a kiss under the warm Riviera Maya sun.
After the ceremony, we wandered through the resort, capturing beautiful portraits of Caitlin and Bob against the backdrop of turquoise water, swaying palms, and golden light. They laughed, held each other close, and soaked in the joy of just married bliss.
One of my favorite moments was catching them sneaking a kiss under Caitlin’s billowing veil, barefoot in the sand, sharing a quiet moment as newlyweds with the sunset painting the sky behind them. Pure magic.
The reception was everything a celebration should be—romantic, laid-back, and full of dancing! String lights twinkled overhead as Caitlin and Bob shared their first dance as husband and wife. Heartfelt toasts, delicious food, and a packed dance floor that thrilled the kids kept the night going long after the stars came out.
Every laugh, every tear, every dance move—they made memories that will last a lifetime.
